Prosperity Wellness supports people’s right to live, work, and play in communities of their choice, even when disabilities may make it more challenging. Various barriers can make it hard to find housing, budget, interact with landlords and neighbors, and understand the rules of a lease. Finding and keeping stable affordable housing is important to the health of our fellow residents of Minnesota. Our Housing Stabilization Services work to help people with disabilities and seniors find and keep housing.

- Avoid future periods of homelessness or institutionalization

Housing Stabilization Services Activities
At Prosperity Wellness, we are with our customer every step of the way. We overcome barriers that may have stood in the way of acquiring housing in the past.
- Assisting you in completing forms required for Housing Stabilization Services eligibility
- Supporting our customer in identifying personal strengths, needs and wants in housing including cultural requirements and/or preferences
- Help identifying and applying for benefits
- Help with searching and applications
- Assistance with tenant screening
- Working to expunge records or access reasonable accommodations
- Help budgeting
- Help understanding and negotiating a lease
- Promoting/supporting cultural practice needs and understandings with prospective landlords, property managers
- Arranging for adaptive-house-related accommodations the person may need
